Palm Springs Public Arts

Palm Springs Public Arts sent out a call for entries do help "beautify" the electrical boxes around the city's intersections. Of the four concepts I submitted the "golf" theme was chosen. My design was the first 3D design approved for production. The biggest challenge was working in the 110+ heat.

ART/Desert X

Covered in mirrors or mirror-like material to represent the Desert X installation favorite "The Mirror House."

I suspect this didn't get chosen due to the sun reflecting into the driver's eyes as they pass by???

Theme: Food/Restaurants

Covered in hundreds of food magnets to bring to life the many diverse food options in the desert. This is meant to be interactive and "vandalized" by being allowed to take remove the magnets to reveal the word "YUM." The magnets replaced periodically.

Theme:Tennis

Covered in the same material as tennis balls including the rubber striping. Did you know you can order this material on Amazon?
